TEHRAN Expediency Council (EC) on Saturday welcomed more political and social freedoms by developing political and social parties, councils, institutions and organizations.

The EC in a meeting, chaired by Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, also ratified practical models for social participation and its institutionalization in all spheres.

It voted for application of popular methods for handling economic, social, political and cultural affairs on the basis of Islamic regulations and the Constitution.
